Course participants who successfully complete both courses, the Practical Realities of Quantum Computation and Quantum Communication, and Requirements for Large-Scale Universal Quantum Computation, in the Quantum Computing Realities Program, are eligible to receive a total of 4.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from MIT.
The breakdown of CEUs by course is as follows:
- Course #1: Practical Realities of Quantum Computation and Quantum Communication (2.0 CEUs)
- Course #2: Requirements for Large-Scale Universal Quantum Computation (2.5 CEUs)
CEUs are recognized nationally in the United States as a way to document non-credit/non-degree studies. They are widely accepted by employers, licensing agencies, and professional associations as evidence of an individual's commitment to professional development. CEUs are typically based on the number of instructional hours, with 1 CEU equivalent to 10 hours of instruction.
Please note that CEUs earned in this program may not be applied toward any MIT undergraduate or graduate-level course.
